By downloading, installing, or using PDF AI Suite ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Catalin Ionut Portan ("the Developer"), the creator of PDF AI Suite.
2. License
PDF AI Suite is licensed, not sold. Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your Apple devices in accordance with Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA) and these additional terms.
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
3. API Keys & Third-Party Services
Certain features of PDF AI Suite (translation, AI summarization, AI chat) require Google Cloud API keys that you must obtain and provide yourself. You are responsible for:
- Obtaining valid API keys from Google Cloud Console
- Any costs incurred from Google Cloud API usage
- Complying with Google's Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policies
- Keeping your API keys secure and confidential
The Developer is not responsible for any charges, restrictions, or issues arising from your use of third-party APIs.
4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
PDF AI Suite uses third-party AI services (Google Gemini, Google Translate) to generate translations, summaries, and chat responses. By using these features, you acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions
- Translations may not be perfectly accurate, especially for technical or specialized content
- Summaries are automated approximations and may miss important details
- Chat responses are generated by AI and should not be considered professional advice
- You should independently verify any important information
The Developer does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
5. Privacy
Your use of PDF AI Suite is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle (or rather, don't collect) your data. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully.
6. Intellectual Property
PDF AI Suite and all related content, including but not limited to the design, code, graphics, and documentation, are the intellectual property of Catalin Ionut Portan and are protected by copyright law.
You retain full ownership of your PDF documents and any content you process through the App.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the App
- Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content
- Loss of data or documents
- Third-party API service interruptions or failures
- Unauthorized access to your API keys
- Any other matter related to the App
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Developer makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App's fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. The Developer does not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses.
9. Modifications
The Developer reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
