Data Processing

When you use translation, summarization, or AI chat features, the text content of your PDF documents is sent to the AI provider you select (Google Gemini, OpenAI ChatGPT, or Groq) for processing. This data is transmitted securely over HTTPS.

We do not intercept, store, or have access to any data that is transmitted between your device and the AI provider's servers. The communication happens directly between your device and the selected AI service.

API Keys

You provide your own API keys from Google AI Studio, OpenAI Platform, or Groq Console to use AI-powered features. Your API keys are stored locally and securely in the macOS Keychain (or iOS Keychain) on your device. They are never transmitted to us or any third party other than the respective AI provider.

Your API keys are used exclusively to authenticate requests to the AI service you selected. We have no access to your keys and cannot retrieve them.

No Data Collection

PDF AI Suite does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, analytics, or usage statistics. We have no servers and no tracking of any kind.

No crash reporting sent to us

Local Storage

All app settings (theme preference, default language, interface language) are stored locally on your device using standard macOS/iOS preferences. PDF documents are accessed locally and are never uploaded to our servers.

Bookmarks, annotations, and user preferences remain on your device. If you use iCloud sync, data is synced through your personal iCloud account — we have no access to your iCloud data.

Third-Party Services

PDF AI Suite integrates with the following third-party AI services (you choose which one to use):

Google Gemini API — Used for translation, summarization, and chat. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
OpenAI ChatGPT API — Used for translation, summarization, and chat. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
Groq API — Used for translation, summarization, and chat. Subject to Groq's Privacy Policy.
Apple Vision Framework — Used for OCR text recognition. Runs entirely on-device with no data sent externally.

We recommend reviewing each provider's data handling practices before choosing which one to use.

AI-Generated Content

Summaries, translations, and chat responses are generated by the AI provider you select (Gemini, ChatGPT, or Groq) and may contain inaccuracies. Content safety filters are enabled to block harmful material. Always verify important information independently.

AI-generated content should not be relied upon for legal, medical, financial, or other critical decisions without independent verification.

Children's Privacy

PDF AI Suite does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.
